Courses for trainers

C. H. Mirákl, o.p.s. offers specials courses for hiporehabilitation horse trainers and hipotherapy horse leaders. The courses take one or two days according to the attendees' requirements.

The courses consist of a theoretical lecture with additional materials for attendees and of a practical part – working with horses. We use both horses that are very experienced and that allow the attendees to see how the horses should work and horses in training that still make mistakes occasionally. The possibility to work with inexperienced horses with their training not completed allows the course attendees to learn to work with horses in preparation for hiporehabilitation work.

The courses are led by an experienced horse trainer Gabriela Lomská in cooperation with Kateřina Karásková.

Together they have prepared 5 young horses for this purpose that perform hipotherapy absolutely reliably using several methods including especially work from the ground based on the horsemanship principles, saddle work, dressage preparation, jump gymnastics etc. Both went through a number of courses, seminars and educational stays in all above mentioned areas under the supervision of both Czech and foreign trainers. They have complex approach to hiporehabilitation that they try to pass on through their courses.

Leading horses in hipotherapy I.

The goal of the course is to familiarize course attendees with the basics of horse leading in hipotherapy and to clarify the impact of horse leading on the overall effect of a hipotherapeutic unit. In the course you will learn basic information about hiporehabilitation, then you will familiarize yourself in more detail with hipotherapy and the impact of individual horse pace components on the effect of treating handicapped children. You will learn the theory of all different ways to lead a horse, in practice you will try work from the ground based on ethology of horses that we prefer in our association. At the end there will be a practical exercise with individual clients of our association.
